Homecoming 1967

Eckerd's unique take on Homecoming, dubbed Homelycoming, featured a parade with each dorm decorating a "float" -- in most cases a student's car. Members of the dorms marched along with their parade floats in corresponding themed costumes. The parade was followed by a "PowderPuff" football game with female students taking the field and male students cheering them on from the sidelines. Halftime featured the crowning of the Homelycoming Queen, with young gentlemen strutting their way to fame and fortune. In 1967 the judges chose Miss Roberta Letton from Newton House.
