Eckerd College Creative Writing majors have a unique opportunity to spend a Winter Term as a participant for course credit in the annual conference, Writers in Paradise. Writers in Paradise brings to Eckerd award winning faculty from across the country for an intensive eight day experience of workshops, panel discussions, roundtables, lectures, readings, and receptions. Students exchange ideas with other participants, who include graduate students, published authors, and writers of various ages at different stages in their careers, and are able to build a writing community outside the college.
