Tracy Crow

Assistant Professor of Creative Writing

Tracy CrowTracy Crow is a former Marine Corps officer and an award-winning military journalist. Her memoir, EYES RIGHT: Confessions from a Woman Marine, about her experiences as a military journalist during the groundbreaking 1980s, is available from the University of Nebraska Press.

As Assistant Professor of Creative Writing, she teaches journalism and creative nonfiction, and serves as the faculty adviser to the college's student newspaper, The Current, which was recently judged Florida's best college newspaper by the Florida College Press Association and recognized as a national finalist for its online edition by the Associated Collegiate Press.

EYES RIGHTShe earned her M.F.A. in creative writing from Queens University of Charlotte, and her literary nonfiction, three times nominated for the Pushcart Prize, has appeared in the Missouri Review, Mississippi Review, Puerto del Sol, and others. Her short story, "Natural Selection," based on events from her life as a Marine, was recently anthologized alongside work from Tim O'Brien, Tobias Wolff, and Kurt Vonnegut in the Press 53 collection, Home of the Brave. She also serves as the nonfiction editor at Prime Number Magazine, an online literary journal published by Press 53.
