Professor Ewing is interested in the economics of education, labor economics, and econometrics. He has his Ph.D. from The University of Washington where his dissertation addressed the measurement of instructional quality in higher education using student evaluations and grades.

Unique Courses

The economics program has a number of courses that don't generally show up in an undergraduate curriculum and traditional courses handled in untraditional ways. Here are some examples: History of Economic Thought, Marine Resource Policy, Leadership, the Human Side of Economics and Natural Resource Economics.
