The Literature major at Eckerd has strong ties with Creative Writing; majors in the latter are required to take Literature courses, while Literature accepts a Writing Workshop class as progress toward the major. Many Literature majors choose to double major or minor in Creative Writing.

Assistant Professor of Creative Writing

K.C. Wolfe

Literature majors, especially those who choose a major in Comparative Literature or a double major / minor with one of the language departments, are also encouraged to broaden their conception of world culture through literature classes in other disciplines. Some courses offered by faculty in those disciplines may count toward the Literature degree.
