Prospective Students
The faculty and students of the Management discipline are very excited that you are considering Eckerd College as one of your choices for undergraduate education. As an applied subject at a small, private liberal-arts college, the Management major at Eckerd allows you to take a holistic perspective of the organizational world. Aside from the required courses, many electives help to widen your breadth of management knowledge. Faculty members are experienced in their fields, and all are eager to help with mentoring and course advisement. Eckerd College sends over 65% of its students on study abroad programs, which gives students a global context in the management discipline. There are also faculty-led business courses abroad during our one-month program called Winter Term, along with opportunities to do internships while living and studying at our London Study Center or China Study Center. Local internships are very available, and as a solely undergraduate institution, you will not be competing against graduate students and MBAs for internship and research opportunities. We offer majors and minors in either Management or Business Administration, and offer opportunities for depth in subjects such as finance, marketing, human resources and service learning.
We encourage you to discover our web page and read more about our applied curriculum, which encourages leadership, group interaction, and an interdisciplinary approach to solving management problems.
If you have questions about applying to Eckerd College, please contact the Office of Admissions.
