We are delighted that you are considering EckerdCollege as one of your choices for an undergraduate education. With outstanding facilities and a prime waterfront location near the Gulf of Mexico, EckerdCollege offers an undergraduate program in marine science that is widely regarded as one of the finest and most unique in the country. Here, you can earn a marine science degree in the context of an education at a national liberal arts college, the only one in Florida. At EckerdCollege, you won’t compete with graduate students for faculty attention, as our efforts are dedicated entirely to educating undergraduates. Because many of today’s pressing issues in marine science must be addressed from a variety of perspectives, our program is interdisciplinary. In addition to specializing in a particular track of either marine biology, marine chemistry, marine geology, or marine geophysics, you will also become broadly educated in aspects of marine science outside your specialty. We also offer a range of elective courses and other ways of exploring areas of interest.
