Modern Languages and Literature is part of the Collegium of Comparative Cultures, which also houses Anthropology and International Business. We teach six languages and offer majors in French and Spanish. There is also a major in Modern Languages for students who wish to combine the study of two languages. We encourage students to double major in a language and another discipline, particularly if they are interested in International Relations and Global Affairs, International Business, International Studies or Comparative Literature. Study Abroad: We offer regular trips abroad for intensive language study during the three week January term. Student groups have recently traveled to Italy, Germany, China, Martinique, Spain, France and Argentina. Students may also study abroad for a semester or a year.
