Sal Capobianco received his Masters Degree from the University of Kansas and his Ph.D. from Rutgers University. Sal has been at Eckerd since 1974, where he has held a variety of positions. Sal's research interests center on understanding the characteristics of effective leaders and conflict behavior. In addition to being a psychology professor, Sal also serves as the Director of Assessment at the Management Development Institute, which is located on the campus of Eckerd College. Sal teaches several sections of Introduction to Psychology, the biopsychology course, and the psychological tests and measurements course. In his free time, Sal enjoys boating and barbeques. B.A. or B.S.

Students majoring in psychology have the option of completing a Bachelor of Arts or Science. The B.A. program is intended for students who want a strong background in psychology as preparation for careers in such areas as law, public health, and medicine. The B.S. program is intended for students who plan to go on to graduate school in some area of psychology.
