Sara Hofmann joined the faculty at Eckerd in 2012. The courses she teaches include Abnormal Psychology, Psychology of Childhood and Adolescence, Introduction to Psychology, and Statistics and Research Design. Sara completed her master’s degree in clinical psychology in 2005 at Clark University. She worked for several years in clinical practice as a child and family therapist, specializing in the treatment of survivors of abuse, trauma, and violence. Sara enjoys working and learning with students, and she strives to create active, engaging classes that help participants to view themselves and others from a new perspective.

B.A. or B.S.

Students majoring in psychology have the option of completing a Bachelor of Arts or Science. The B.A. program is intended for students who want a strong background in psychology as preparation for careers in such areas as law, public health, and medicine. The B.S. program is intended for students who plan to go on to graduate school in some area of psychology.
