Holly White joined the faculty at Eckerd in 2008. After earning her Ph.D. in experimental psychology at the University of Memphis in 2005, she worked for three years as a research scientist at the Institute for Intelligent Systems and teaching at The University of Memphis. The courses she teaches include Introduction to Psychology, Human Learning and Cognition, and Statistics and Research Design. Holly's primary research interests include individual differences in creative thinking, divergent thinking in adults with ADHD, inhibitory control deficits and executive memory processes, cognitive training of executive control processes, and perception and assessment of acute pain. Holly enjoys mentoring student research and often involves undergraduates in her research projects. Other interests include wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, and spending time outdoors with her two Whippets.

B.A. or B.S.

Students majoring in psychology have the option of completing a Bachelor of Arts or Science. The B.A. program is intended for students who want a strong background in psychology as preparation for careers in such areas as law, public health, and medicine. The B.S. program is intended for students who plan to go on to graduate school in some area of psychology.
