Background
Raised in Venezuela and the United States, Nancy Di Bella began teaching English as a foreign language in 1977. Since then she has taught both Spanish and English as a foreign and second language in various business and educational institutions. She is currently teaching Spanish at all levels, as well as Introduction to Linguistics, at USF; and Spanish at Eckerd College. She is also a PhD student in the Second Language Acquisition and Instructional Technology doctoral program at USF where her main interests are the use of voice-recognition software to enhance L2 learning in the classroom and the application of Sociocultural Theory to instructed foreign language learning.
