Eclectic Training

Eckerd Theatre students develop skills in acting, directing, design and technical theatre. They acquire knowledge of plays, theatrical movements and innovators. They gain real world experience by completing internships, networking at professional theaters and conferences, and producing their own work. 2014-2015 Theatre Season

Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett
Directed by Gavin Hawk

Considered by many to be his masterpiece, this classic existentialist absurdist comedy by Samuel Beckett follows the characters Vladimir and Estragon as they forever wait for the arrival of Godot.

Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl
Directed by Cynthia Totten

A luminous retelling of the Greek myth of Orpheus through the adventures of his bride Eurydice, who dies on their wedding day. Eurydice journeys to the Underworld, reunites with her deceased father, and struggles to remember her lost love. Eurydice is a funny, moving theatrical fable about love, grief, memory, and the devastating beauty of being alive.
