Find the right fit

We all have a pair of shoes, or a sweatshirt, or maybe even a chair that we have owned and loved for a long time. Whatever it is, it probably is well worn and may even have a hole or two. Why do we keep something like that? Because it fits. And when something just fits right, it's wonderful.

The same is true for your college search. Sure, there are a lot of people telling you to go here because classes are small or go there because of the research opportunities and so on. There are a lot of factors that go into YOUR decision about where to continue your education. You know what is important for you.

Do your research to find the schools you want to explore. Then explore. Ask questions. Visit. Then visit again if you need to. Look for the right fit. Call your admission counselor. When it comes time to make the decision, you'll know because it fits.

Favorite activities

I enjoy getting on my motorcycle and heading off in no particular direction. I enjoy spending time with my boys and watching them learn and grow. Especially watching them accomplish something they have been working so hard to achieve. I love to read and spend time on the water.

Why Eckerd?

I have attended both a small private and a large public university. I earned degrees at both schools, but will say that attending the small private school (Hanover College) challenged me and pushed me and caused me to grow. It not only prepared me for life after college, but also prepared me for my Master's degree.

Eckerd is such a welcoming place. I love the diversity and energy that is present on campus. The opportunity to travel abroad as well as work with and learn from outstanding faculty members is incredible. Eckerd will challenge and push you and cause you to grow. You'll be ready to blaze your path in the world. All while having the time of your life!
