Meet with us on your turf
Every year the Office of Admission hosts Prospective Student Receptions and Area Interview events in various cities across the country. The events generally occur during the winter months to accommodate the differing needs of students involved in the selection and application process. High school juniors can utilize the events to gather more information about Eckerd, while high school seniors or transfers might use the events as a way to enhance their applications. The events are intended to help you discover whether Eckerd is the best college for you.
The 2013 schedule has concluded and the 2014 schedule will be available in the Fall. Keep in mind there are additional opportunities available if you missed out and still want to gather more in-depth information about Eckerd or would like to schedule an interview with a member of the Office of Admission. The Open House programs, college fairs, high school visits and visiting campus are some of the ways you can learn more about Eckerd College. Please contact your Admission Counselor for details.
Last year we hosted Prospective Student Receptions for the Denver, Mid Atlantic, New England and New York Metro areas. Our Prospective Student Receptions include a brief presentation followed by a discussion with Eckerd College staff, alumni and parents.
Area Interviews were held in Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Bethesda, MD; Boston, MA; Boulder and Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; New Orleans, LA; New York, NY; Herndon and Springfield, VA; Philadelphia, PA; Princeton, NJ; and San Diego and San Francisco, CA. These events allow students to speak one-on-one with an Admission Counselor. The conversation will vary from student to student, but an interview is an effective way to enhance your application, discuss the next step if you've already been admitted, or discover whether Eckerd is the right college for you.
If we didn't make it to your home turf and you'd like us to consider it for next year, please let us know where and why you'd like us to visit.
