What makes Eckerd so special or why does it stand out to you as a great college? What does it mean to you now that you have been away for awhile?

The incredible community formed there can't be found anywhere else. I miss the intelligent, caring people that I was constantly surrounded with, I have not found their equal anywhere else.

Describe some of your best memories or favorite traditions from your time at Eckerd.

Hanging out in Omega; what an incredible sense of community. And I enjoyed all the college sponsored events like Pitchers with Professors, Latin night, Kappa Karnival, and many others.

What activities were you involved in while at Eckerd and did they influence what you are involved in now?

Eckerd College Freshman Research Program set me on the molecular biology track that I am still on today. It allowed me to participate in the type of research as an undergraduate that most students don't see until graduate school.

Why did you choose Eckerd? What advice would you give students who are considering Eckerd?

I chose Eckerd because of the excellent reputation their marine science program had and for the vibe the students gave off when i visited. I felt it was a place where I could be whoever I wanted to be, and I would be loved for that. And it turns out it was that, and more.
