January 12, 2005 : The Captain's challenge: "Be the first to spot the first iceberg as big as this ship." Dan Niebler met the challenge. The first iceberg was spotted 35NM north of the South Shetland Islands. The exact location of the iceberg was 62 degrees 24.7 minutes South X 59 degrees 13.5 minutes West.
