Women's Soccer Shutout by Chargers

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

Boca Raton, Fla. - Eckerd goalkeeper Cory Hawkins made seven saves but it was all for naught as they Tritons (2-2) fell to the Alabama-Huntsville Chargers (2-1) by a score of 2-0 on Sunday morning at the McCusker Sports Complex on the campus of Lynn University.

The two teams remained deadlocked at zero after 45 minutes but in the second half, the Charger offense solved Hawkins as Luting Sun scored on a header following a corner kick by Lindsay Lee in the 53rd minute.

In the 63rd minute, Janelle Nedd iced the game for UAH, scoring an unassisted goal.

Eckerd will return to action on Wednesday, September 10 as they host SSC foe Nova Southeastern in non-conference action at 7pm.
