Mission Statement

The Risk Management Office supports the mission of the College by providing comprehensive risk management services that contribute to the health, safety, and protection of employees, students and visitors and to the protection of the College's physical and financial resources.

What is a Risk Manager?

The Risk Manager, with collaborative efforts of several departments, is charged with identifying risks, evaluating risks, selecting the best techniques for treating identified risks and implementing the chosen technique. It is the responsibility of all members of the College community to ensure an effective risk management program by actively supporting the risk management policies and procedures

The primary provider for property and casualty insurance is EIIA, Inc. (Educational and Institutional Insurance Administrators, Inc.).  EIIA, a not-for-profit organization, provides risk management services to a consortium of over 138 institutions of higher education. The Chief Financial Officer and the Risk Manager work closely with EIIA to ensure the College has adequate and cost effective insurance coverage.
