Student Employment Program
The Eckerd College Student Employment Program is administered
through the Office of Career Resources, which is a program of the
Center for the Applied Liberal Arts (CALA). The Program includes
four primary types of student employment: Federal Work Study,
International Work Study, Student Assistantships, and Florida Work
Experience.
The Federal Work Study Program is a federal program
funded by the U.S. Department of Education with matching funds from
Eckerd College. This Program is administered in accordance with
Federal regulations, and other instructions issued by, or on behalf
of, the U.S. Secretary of Education.
International Work Study is funded through Eckerd College
institutional funds.
Student Assistantships are funded either by Eckerd
College funds designated through departmental budgets or by outside
grants awarded for these positions.
Florida Work Experience Program is funded through the
Florida Department of Education, Office of Student Financial
Assistance.
Wages for Federal and International Work Study
positions are set to the State of Florida's Minimum Wage
Requirements. Student Assistant positions may include an hourly
increase in accordance with the current pay structure approved by
the Business Office.
