Note to Students
- Remember that you must complete an I-9 form if this is your first time to be employed on campus.
- You need an employment form for each assignment and for each year that you work (employment forms do not carry over from year to year)
- You can not start your work study or student assistantship until your I-9 and employment forms are completed.

| FEDERAL WORK STUDY(FWS) |
- You must be an American Student or US Citizen to receive a Federal Award.
- If you are not sure if you have been awarded Federal Work Study, you can call Financial Aid at ext. 8334.
- If you are working for the first time on campus you will need to complete an I-9 form before you begin working. You must complete this form in the Office of Career Resources.
- You may not begin working until the I-9 form is completed.

| INTERNATIONAL WORK STUDY (IWS) |
- In order to work on campus you must complete an I-9 form in the Office of Career Resources. You may not begin working until the I-9 is completed.
- If you do not have a Social Security card, contact the Director of International Student Programs in the Office of Student Affairs for the appropriate paperwork. It may take several weeks to secure a Social Security card.
- International Work Study recipients may work in any Work Study position on campus.
- International students may not work more than 20 hours total per week (INS regulation)

| STUDENT ASSISTANTSHIP (SA) |
- Student Assistant positions are available to all students.
- If you are working for the first time on campus you will need to complete an I-9 form before you begin working. You must complete this form in the Office of Career Resources.
- If you have a completed I-9 form, then you can take an employment form to your supervisor to be signed. These forms are available in the Office of Career Resources.
- Your I-9 and student employment forms must be completed before you may begin work.
- International students can accept student assistantship; however they are not allowed to work more than a total of 20 hours across all jobs per week (INS regulations)
