Chapel Renovations

Chapel RenovationsTo be in the Chapel on the campus of Eckerd College is to be in a circle of worship, faith, learning and history. On May 18, 2007, after nearly 40 years, the Griffin Chapel, having undergone extensive renovations thanks to several significant gifts in the early portion of the Campaign, was named in honor of the College's much-beloved founding faculty member, coach and highly regarded second President, Billy O. Wireman. The Wireman Chapel continues to encircle us with its original purpose -- as expressed in the first dedication service -- to develop the spirit of love, understanding and forgiveness.
