We invoke now the blessing of the Holy One of Creation.

This blessing is about knowledge - those who want it, those who are afraid to pursue it.
It is about Truth - the desire to experience what is real and enduring.
It is about Meaning - building from disparate ingredients the pattern that is uniquely yours.
It is about kindness - simple human caring.
This blessing is about passion - lacrosse teams yet to be formed.
This blessing is to you from the Eternal Spirit of the Universe: May you enter Eckerd College with joyous expectations, and remain in strength and hope.

Go forward in peace, and in blessing.
