About the Tour
Residential, environmental, personal, global and spiritual. The five values of Eckerd College are at the heart of the unique and transformational experience of our students. The Eckerd College Concert Choir has a history of including the global dimension by traveling abroad to perform biennially. The 2007 American Celebration of Music in China will take Eckerd students to some of China’s most well-known and historic locations and will allow them to perform for a variety of audiences.

Shared concert with the Peiyang Chorus of Tianjin University

Concert at the Great Wall of China
Juyong Pass, Great Wall of China
Joint concert at the Renmin University Concert Hall
Renmin University, Beijing
Concert at the Xi’an Conservatory of Music Concert Hall
Xi’an
In addition to performing, students will visit the Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple, Summer Palace, Great Wall, Ancient City Wall, Terra-cotta Warriors & Horses Museum and a variety of other destinations.
