No other action that is required of the Board of Trustees brings as much pleasure and reward as the granting of degrees each May. Congratulations, Class of 2006!
Trustees who have joined us today and are seated on this stage include alumni who came to Eckerd College (then Florida Presbyterian College)in 1960 and 1961 as members of the College's first two classes; alumni who came each decade thereafter in the 1970s, 80s and 90s; our Trustee who graduated from Eckerd College in 1977 and who is the College's first Rhodes Scholar; and Trustees who have served the College faithfully since 1976; In sum, Trustees here today have personally known our students since the College's founding.
