[St. Petersburg, FL, Date] - Eckerd College is pleased to announce the graduation with honors of David Graduate, son of John and Jane Graduate of Anytown, State, and a graduate of Anytown High School. One of 500 Eckerd College graduates, Graduate received a bachelor of arts degree in literature with a minor in French during commencement ceremonies in St. Petersburg, Florida, on Sunday, May 21.

While studying at Eckerd, Graduate was involved in a variety of campus activities. Graduate played on the varsity tennis team, served as a resident assistant for two years and completed an internship with Barnes and Noble. At the Senior Awards Ceremony, Graduate received the Campus Leadership Award. Graduate will earn his master's degree from Far Far Away.

Founded in 1958, Eckerd is a private, coeducational college of liberal arts and sciences. Eckerd's 1,600 residential students from 48 states and 44 countries choose among thirty-eight majors leading to a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. In addition, 1,200 students are enrolled in the Program for Experienced Learners, a bachelor's degree program for adult learners. Eckerd's Leadership Development Institute executive education program, ASPEC, and offerings through Senior College and Elderhostel identify the college as a national leader of innovative programs in continuing education. A Phi Beta Kappa institution, Eckerd is one of only 40 schools listed in Loren Pope's "Colleges That Change Lives."
