Executive Education and Professional Development

Leadership Development Institute (LDI)

2014 Financial TimesThe Leadership Development Institute has been a network associate of the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) since 1981 and delivers internationally-acclaimed executive development programs to thousands of local, national, and international clients. CCL ranked No. 4 overall in the 2014 Financial Times worldwide survey of executive education.

Center for Conflict Dynamics (CCD)

Through assessment, training, consulting, research and publishing, the Center for Conflict Dynamics and the Mediation Training Institute at Eckerd College help organizations and individuals develop effective approaches for managing conflict. The Center works with hundreds of consultants, trainers and coaches around the world to deliver a wide variety of conflict management and resolution services. It is also the global vendor of the Conflict Dynamics Profile® assessment instrument and certifies people in the use of the instrument.

Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile (EMP)

Based on research into the traits, motivations and skills of entrepreneurs, the EMP helps individuals and groups assess the degree to which they are utilizing an "entrepreneurial mindset."  This cutting-edge tool accurately targets entrepreneurial strengths as well as specific opportunities for development, so it is ideal for corporate leaders, students, and entrepreneurs alike.

Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning

A variety of senior learning opportunities offer active adult learners many choices. Our programs provide various levels of involvement and numerous topics of interest.

Academy of Senior Professionals (ASPEC)

The Academy is a unique and nationally-recognized community for lifelong learners, offering unmatched opportunities for peer led intellectual stimulation, physical activities and social interaction for almost 300 members. From diverse backgrounds, our members (retired or still working), seek and enjoy a lifestyle that provides rejuvenation, enrichment, friendships and an active social life.

Conference Center

The Eckerd College Conference Center offers comfortable, professional and affordable options for meetings, conferences, retreats or other special events. It is also a convenient place to stay for visiting parents, prospective students and their families, guests of the college, alumni, friends, faculty and staff.

English Language School

For nearly four decades, ELS has offered English language and university preparation classes on the Eckerd College campus for thousands of students, young and old, from all corners of the world. Living on campus or in homestays with local American families, students benefit from the Eckerd College-ELS connection, enriching both ELS students and the Eckerd College community.

Eckerd College Writers' Conference: Writers in Paradise

Writers in Paradise is an intensive eight-day experience of intimate workshop classes, roundtables, panel discussions, readings, book signings and cocktail receptions designed for those who are passionate about writing. Take workshop classes with best-selling authors each January.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Eckerd College is a membership organization whose mission is to provide affordable, high-quality, non-credit courses and programs for residents in the greater Tampa Bay area. In addition, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Eckerd College offers many study-travel adventures each year.

Road Scholar

Road Scholar is a week-long residential program that offers creative approaches to a wide variety of liberal arts topics. Over 70 programs are offered annually in various Florida locations.
