And now brothers and sisters,
Go out into this day, this year, this world in peace;
to love and serve a creation in desperate need of care.

Have courage;
to be a mind reaching to the boundaries, a hand stretching out, and a voice speaking up.

Hold fast to what is good;
even in a world that values profits over people, corporations over children, and power above all else.

Strengthen the fainthearted; support the weak; and help the suffering;
in the midst of research, study, and imagination look after of one another.

Honor all people;
in work and in play take time to see the faces of those next to you- friends and strangers, always remembering what a remarkable privilege it is to learn, teach, and explore.

And so go out into this world in peace, to love and serve the Lord, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit this day and evermore.
