O God of goodness and mercy, as we begin this new academic year, we gather to celebrate who we are as college community. As we strive for success, may the standard we set not only inspire us to excellence but also to compassion, kindness and respect.  Reaching up, may we also reach out to those in need and those who have fallen behind.  Aspiring to greatness, may we also remember to set our will towards service and doing small things with great love. As we learn, teach and serve, may your goodness and mercy, O God, guide us every step of the way and may all that we do honor your holy name.
