Welcome to our website
Thank you for visiting our website. Here you will find that Counseling Services provides much more than just individual counseling. Use the menu to the left to find out more about us and the services we offer. Send our staff an email (please refer to our email policy) with your questions and comments. Come back and visit our site often and see the changes we've made.
Who is eligible for our services?
Counseling and disability support services are free of charge to all full-time students currently enrolled in credit courses at Eckerd College. Consultation services, including workshops and health education services, are available to student organizations, Eckerd faculty and staff.
Our psychological services are provided free of charge to full-time students on a voluntary basis and are completely confidential. That is, no information will be given to anyone without your written permission. You do not need to be referred by anyone to benefit from the services of the Counseling Center.
What can we do?
A therapist can often help you to understand yourself better, gain insight into your decisions, improve your self-image, enhance your personal relationships, and help you to learn how to make new choices for more effective living. Workshops and presentations provide information on wellness-related issues, and tips for time management and study skills that help improve your chances of success at Eckerd. We are interested in your personal, intellectual, and psychological growth and development.
