Amnesty International
The purpose of the Amnesty International Club is to make up part of a worldwide movement of citizens who campaign for the preservation and work against the violation of our recognized human rights. We inspire hope for a better world and promote international solidarity. We will not only learn about current issues and news on the worldwide human rights violations but we will educate students on the impact a small group of people can have on other citizens of the world.

Coalition for Community Justice
The Coalition for Community Justice was started in March 2006 by a group of students concerned about the treatment and wages of Eckerd College housekeepers, facility and maintenance workers. The group designed an action plan and worked with the administration at school to devise a way to raise wages for the workers. For the 2006-2007 school years the housekeepers all received raises due to the college and ECOS donating money to the club. The Coalition also does activities to show appreciation to the staff members at school. These activities include cook outs, holiday and thank you gifts.

Earth Society
The objective of this club shall be to promote environmental awareness and to improve the relationship that we as a people have with our Mother Earth. We shall achieve this objective through specific events such as Green Rampage, Earth Fair, volunteering services, taking educational field trips, and providing information about environmental issues to the Eckerd College community.

EC Colleges Against Cancer
Raise money. Stay up all night. Party with your friends. Make a difference. Laugh. Cry. Dance. Walk. Meet new friends. Give Hope. Fight Cancer. Join Relay For Life. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities and campuses around the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

ECHO
The objective of this club is to end homelessness in the St. Petersburg community. ECHO's activities in this vain will include, but certainly are not limited to, serving a meal every Saturday at St. Vincent's De Paul's soup kitchen, volunteering at other agencies that serve the homeless community, holding various food and clothing drives both on campus and in the community, holding a homelessness awareness forum on campus, and participating in the City of St. Petersburg's Homeless Task Force.

Students for Sensible Drug Policy
Students for Sensible Drug Policy is an international grassroots network of students who are concerned about the impact drug abuse has on our communities, but who also know that the War on Drugs is failing our generation and our society. SSDP mobilizes and empowers young people to participate in the political process, pushing for sensible policies to achieve a safer and more just future, while fighting back against counterproductive Drug War policies, particularly those that directly harm students and youth.
