Dr. Susan Fernandez of USF St. Petersburg is the author with Robert Ingalls of Sunshine in the Dark: Florida in the Movies. She will introduce the film Sunshine State and provide an overview of Florida landscapes in the movies.

Sunshine State was directed by independent icon John Sayles and presents a complex portrait and compelling stories of the intersecting lives and issues that make up the cultural and environmental landscape of our strange state.
