Visions/Voices Environmental Short Film Competition
Dear Students and Interested Alumni,
The Visions of Nature/Voices of Nature Environmental Film Festival at Eckerd College is pleased to announce an environmental film competition. The competition is open to all students. We especially encourage submissions from Eckerd College students and alumni. The winning entries will be screened during the film festival on February 23.
The film competition will be guided by the following criteria.
1. The competition is open to all student filmmakers and Eckerd alumni.
2. Films may be fiction or non-fiction and should clearly engage some issue related to the natural or built environment.
3. Films should be no more than 5 minutes in length.
4. Films must be submitted on DVD with an entry form at the address below by Monday, February 7, 2011. You can download the entry form here.
5. There is no entry fee.
The films will be judged by an Environmental Film Festival Committee. Three categories of awards will be given: a first prize of $300, a second prize of $200, and a third prize of $100.
