Gamma Freeman Environmental Dorm

The residents of Gamma Freeman are students committed to a sustainable lifestyle. The Campus Sustainability Congress will be working with the dorm to develop initiatives that will accomplish this goal. Some of these ideas include:

• Using communal appliances (like a refrigerator or microwave) to reduce energy usage and costs to students
• Planting a dorm garden
• Installing energy-efficient lights
• Creating a dorm"stuff swap" for residents to trade and reuse items
• Providing environmentally focused volunteer opportunities
• Empowering residents to develop their own green practices and spread their success throughout Eckerd College.
