The first semester . . . what will I need?

The residence halls are your home away from home. Moving in is much like getting a place of your own. To make this easier here are some ideas for things you might want to bring with you.

  • All firearms (including, but not limited to, handguns, rifles, pellet guns, BB guns, paintball guns)
  • All other weapons (including, but not limited to, swords, bows and arrows, balloon slingshots, martial arts weapons, hunting knives)
  • Fireworks and other explosives
  • Pets
  • BBQ grills and toaster ovens
  • Waterbeds
  • Halogen lamps
  • Extension Cords (only surge protectors allowed in Residence Halls)

Communicate with your roommate about what each of you are planning to bring, especially relating to larger items such as refrigerators, microwaves, stereos, TV and VCR/DVD player.
