Review the Pet Policy before writing your appeal. When submitting an appeal, be sure to include the following:

• The age of the pet on the day you submit the appeal
• Where the pet is living currently
• Where and when you obtained your pet
• How long you have had the pet
• A thorough explanation of your situation and why you and your pet deserve an exception of the pet policy
• Interaction with other animals and people, if the animal was abused, and other pertinent pet history
• Plans for pet if the appeal is not granted or the pet has to be removed from campus
