Benefits at Eckerd College

A healthy and supportive work environment is much more than just a salary. At Eckerd, the provision of an excellent benefit package continues to be an integral part of employment in higher education. We hope you will take the time to review the information provided here in order to best utilize the benefit package we offer.

Eckerd College provides a Benefits Plan to all full-time faculty and eligible regular employees. Faculty must be under contract to teach five or more regular courses (or the equivalent) to qualify for the plan. Support Staff (Exempt and Non-Exempt) must be employed at least 30 hours per week in a 10 or 12 month established position to qualify for the plan.

The plan provides the opportunity to select from a variety of benefits. Contributions to the plan can be paid on a pre- or post-tax basis.

All benefits are available upon initial date of employment.  These benefits include health insurance, life insurance and long and short term disability.
