Health insurance allows you or your covered dependents to be compensated for costs incurred as a result of illness or accident.  The nature and extent of this compensation is contingent on certain conditions being met as outlined in the plan description for the insurance you select.

Health insurance is available through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. There are three plans to choose from, HMO (Health Maintenance Organization), PPO (Preferred Provider Organization), and the HDHP/HSA (High Deductable Health Plan with Health Savings Account).  You have the option of changing your enrollment during the Open Enrollment Period.

Eckerd College offers Dental Benefits through Florida Combined Life. Employees are eligible for these benefits on their date of hire, and can enroll by completing an enrollment form. Dependent coverage is available. Employees may change their coverage during the annual open enrollment period.
