Benefit Plan Board of Pensions

Eckerd College provides a Benefits Plan (the "Plan") to all full-time faculty, faculty under hexennial leave and all eligible full time staff. Faculty must be under contract to teach five (5) or more regular courses (or the equivalent) and full time staff must work thirty hours or more per week to qualify for the Plan.

The College will coordinate with the Board of Pensions to allow benefits through the Board of Pensions for staff in church affiliated positions.

Benefits are available upon initial date of employment. These benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and short and long term disability. Contributions to the Plan are paid through payroll deduction on a pre-tax or post-tax basis.
