Benefit Plan

Eckerd College provides a Benefits Plan (the "Plan") to all full-time faculty, faculty under hexennial leave and all eligible regular employees. Faculty must be under contract to teach five (5) or more regular courses (or the equivalent) to qualify for the Plan.
The Plan provides the opportunity to select from a variety of benefits. Contributions to the Plan can be paid with pre- or post-tax savings.
The Plan consists of both core and optional benefits. All benefits are available upon initial date of employment. The College requires all eligible employees to have at least the core benefits. These core benefits include health insurance, life insurance, and long and short term disability. Optional benefits may be elected and paid for using payroll deductions.
