Relocation

Effective 2/27/13

Newly hired employees will receive reimbursement for relocation as described below:

Staff

Positions at the Director level and above residing 50 or more miles from Eckerd College may be reimbursed up to 80% of actual cost for eligible expenses, at the discretion of the relevant Vice President or Dean.

Faculty

Tenure-track faculty residing 50 or more miles from Eckerd College may be reimbursed up to 80% of actual cost for eligible expenses, at the discretion of the Dean of Faculty.

Visiting faculty may be reimbursed for eligible expenses in accordance with the schedule below, at the discretion of the Dean of Faculty:

Up to 500 miles from Eckerd College: $500
501 - 1000 miles from Eckerd College: $1,000
1001 miles and more from Eckerd College: $1,500

Eligible Expenses

Expenses eligible for the reimbursement include: packing, moving and unpacking household goods; airfare or mileage in accordance with the College mileage reimbursement policy (plus tolls); motels (lodging) and food for each member of the family while en route to the area. Reimbursement for one-way travel expenses will be on the basis of direct routes to the area. The move must be accomplished within 180 days from the starting date of the contract.
