What are the recommended minimum requirements?

• Additionally, for those doing significant work off campus, students intending to take or faculty intending to teach a class with significant online content should invest in a broadband Internet connection such as DSL or Cable Modem. As with hardware, the faster the connection, the less waiting between views.
• Do not use Earthlink Accelerator.
• Do not useAOL.
• The following software is required:
  • Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
• If materials other than web pages are used with posted materials any of the following software may be needed:
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc)
    • Microsoft Office Viewers
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Real Player

  • Apple Quicktime
  • Macromedia Flash
  • Macromedia Shockwave
• Knowledge of how to use your computer.
