To access the operator from off campus callers should dial (727) 867-1166 or 1-800-456-9009.
Faculty, and staff, while on campus should dial “0” to speak with the operator.  Students using the community phones should dial "0" to speak with the campus operator.  Students using their Bright House Networks digital phone landline in their dorm room should dial 867-1166 to speak with the campus operator.

The Switchboard operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 12 pm and 1:00 to 5:00 pm. During Lunchtime, the office is closed. All calls go directly to Security during Lunchtime, after hours, on weekends, and holidays.

The Switchboard provides the community with on campus extensions and receives requests for faculty, staff, and community phone line repairs.  Students who have a Bright House Networks digital phone installed in their dorm room must contact Bright House Networks for phone service.  Eckerd College also provides community phone services in the dorm common areas.  The community phones only call local numbers, toll free numbers, "911", Eckerd College Security "8260", the Eckerd College Operator "0", and other Eckerd College extensions. 

Students who choose to purchase a digital phone landline hookup in their dorm room must purchase through Bright House Networks.
