Logistical Information

COLLEGE LOCATION

The Leadership Development Institute is housed on the scenic campus of Eckerd College on Boca Ciega Bay. Eckerd College is located at 4200 54th Avenue South (Pinellas Bayway, Exit 17 off of I-275). The campus is approximately five miles from St. Pete Beach and seven miles from the Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club, our preferred property.

HOTELS

Most participants prefer to stay at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club. We have arranged special conference rates for program participants, and the resort provides complimentary transportation to and from campus. To make your reservations, please contact our Client Relations Department at 800-753-0444. Due to the heavy tourist trade (January– May), you are urged to make your hotel reservations at the time of registration for the program--at least four weeks prior to your arrival date. Check-in is 4:00 p.m.

Lodging is also available on the Eckerd College campus at the West Lodge from April through December only. Package rates are available and start at $80/night. The West Lodge provides motel-style accommodations just a short walk from the program classroom. All rooms have two queen beds, T1 internet access (via ethernet), cable tv, and private baths. The lodge also provides access to two fitness centers, tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool, walking paths, and a lounge. Please contact LDI Client Relations to make your arrangements.

FLIGHT ARRANGEMENTS

The Tampa International Airport is the most convenient airport. You will want to schedule your arriving flight the day before the program starts. Please verify the ending time of your selected program with our staff so you can make your departure plans accordingly.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation from the airport to St. Petersburg is (approx. 25 miles) available through SuperShuttle (approx. $15 per person), taxi (approx. $43-$50) and rental car. Most major rental car companies are available at the airport.

If you are staying at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club (our preferred property), renting a car will not be necessary as transportation is provided to and from the campus daily.

ASSESSMENT MATERIALS

Central to any LDI program is the battery of assessment materials which participants receive about eight weeks prior to the program. Participants must complete and return the assessment materials at least four weeks before the start of the program. ATTIRE

Dress for the entire week is casual and comfortable. During the winter months, a sweater or jacket is suggested. You may also want to bring sunglasses and a hat, as we may conduct a portion of the program outside.

TRANSFERS/CANCELLATIONS
