New Subscription Encyclopedia
The Europa World Yearbook is now available electronically. Europa World is the online version of the Europa World Year Book, the indispensable source of information on world-wide affairs. First published in 1926, the year book is renowned as one of the world's leading reference works, covering political and economic information in over 250 countries and territories, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. Click on "Encyclopedias and Dictionaries" on the main library home page.

New Library Service
The Electronic Reserves service (online access to reserve materials) is now available to faculty. Faculty may submit periodical articles, answer keys, links to websites, or course notes to make them available to students via secure login. See the Electronic Reserves webpage for full details.

Armacost Library Welcomes new ILL staff
We are pleased to welcome Ethan Mayefsky as our new Interlibrary Loan and Circulation assistant. Ethan worked for several years in the Miami library system and is a budding writer in his spare time. He replaces Lindsey Knight, who is interning at CNN's news library in Washington D.C.

Armacost Library Welcomes New Librarian
We are pleased to welcome Yort Watson as the Visiting Science and ILL librarian. Yort has worked in Education and as a rare books dealer before joining us. He replaces Jessica Collogan, to whom we offer warm wishes on the birth of her son. Welcome, Yort!

New Subscription Database
The Historic New York Times, previously available only on microfilm, is now available via ProQuest. Coverage includes full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue. The collection includes digital reproductions providing access to every page from every available issue. Inquire at the Reference Desk about a step-by-step user guide for this database.
In addition to the Historic New York Times, current coverage (2002-present) is also available via ProQuest.

New Subscription Databases
InfoTrac OneFile and LegalTrac are now available through Gale's InfoTrac service. Both databases are accessed and searched exactly the same as the more familiar Expanded Academic datatbase, but OneFile offers indexing, abstracts, and partial full-text to 5,800 periodical titles (compared to the 2,200 titles in full-text indexed by Expanded Academic). LegalTrac provides law articles from all major law reviews, law journals, specialty law and bar association journals and legal newspapers.

New Subscription Database
Britannica Online is now available through the "Encyclopedias and Dictionaries" link on the library home page. The subscription includes access to the complete print edition as well as access to graphics, videos, an atlas, historical timelines, year-in-reviews, and more.

Armacost Library Welcomes New Librarian
We are pleased to welcome Jessica Collogan as the Visiting Science and ILL librarian. Jessica received her M.L.S. from the University of South Florida and has worked as a Reference Librarian at Clearwater Public Library for the previous 2 years. Welcome, Jess!

Library Dedication
The dedication of the Peter H. Armacost library will take place at 4:00 p.m. at the Fox Hall Patio and Hough Quad on Friday, February 18th. Additional dedication ceremonies will take place throughout the library beginning at 2:00 p.m.

New Subscription Database
Historic Documents is now available to the Eckerd community. From 1972-present, each volume includes approximately one hundred documents covering the most significant events of the year. These documents range from presidential speeches, international agreements, and Supreme Court decisions to U.S. governmental reports, scientific findings, and cultural discussions.

New Library Opens
The Peter H. Armacost library is now open. At 50,000 square feet and almost double the size of the original campus library, the new building houses both Library Services and Information Technology Services. In addition to modern furnishings and impressive architectural design, the new building features:
- 17 group study rooms
- 24-hour computer lab
- wireless network
- flat-panel computer workstations
- digital microfilm printer
- self-checkout
- state-of-the-art executive conference room
- outdoor screened lanai
- two-story glass wall overlooking the pond
