The 2007 report continues this record with Eckerd ranking higher than selected similar schools on four of five benchmarks with 92% of responding seniors having performed community service or volunteer work during their tenure at Eckerd and 58% of seniors having studied abroad as part of their Eckerd experience.

Based on 2006/07 data reported in the most recent report by the Institute of International Education (IIE), "Open Doors 2008", Eckerd College ranks 7th in the top baccalaureate institutions in number of students (301) in study abroad programs of short-term duration (during the summer, January Term, or 8 weeks or less during the academic year), 15th in the top baccalaureate institutions in total number of students (387) who studied abroad during the academic year, and 22nd in the top baccalaureate institutions in the percentage of undergraduates (72%) who studied abroad during the academic year. Eckerd College is Florida's only baccalaureate institution in the Top 20.
