St. Petersburg: Spring Break 07

St. Petersburg

The St. Pete Service group did lots of service over spring break while enjoying the comfort of their own beds each night! Five day trips had the students working at Academy Prep, Beth-El Mission, Asian Neighborhood Family Center, the Studio@620, and the Woodson African American Museum. Rachel, Mary, Carrie, Laura, Liz, and Jeannie learned about race and immigration issues in the St. Pete area. They enjoyed a variety of dinner choices celebrating the diversity of the organizations where they served, including soul food, Vietnamese, Mexican, and homemade sushi. Students were glad to learn more about the community in which they live.
