Set in a small town in Texas, Blood Simple (1984), directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, tells the story of a fatal love affair. A jealous husband, Marty (Dan Hedaya), seeks revenge on his unfaithful wife, Abby (Frances McDormand), by hiring a private investigator (M. Emmet Walsh) to kill his wife Abby, and her lover, Ray (John Getz).
The film starts off slow with an opening scene of barren Texas and as the story unfolds the viewer is introduced to ordinary characters leading simple lives. This film is anything but ordinary. The plot twists and turns keeping the viewer intrigued.
