ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd Department of Athletics officially launched its new website, EckerdTritons.com on Wednesday, as announced on July 15. The site, designed by Internet Consulting Services (ICS) and powered by ICS’ signature content management system, SIDEARM, is scheduled to launch Wednesday and may take anywhere from four to 48 hours to propagate itself around the world-wide web.
While surfers will find the majority of the pertinent information they are looking for, some sections of the site, including the hall of fame and all-access multimedia sections, will continue to be a work in progress leading up to the start of the fall season.
In the meantime, Eckerd supporters will be able to enjoy a refreshed look, a more-user friendly navigation, updated schedules, rosters, and biographical pages as well as a men’s basketball year-in-review video, among other features. As a result of the new website, fans who have signed up to receive E-Scores from the department’s previous website and wish to continue receive text updates will need to subscribe to SMS text updates on EckerdTritons.com.
In addition, Triton fans can now follow Eckerd Athletics on Facebook as well as Twitter, getting updates on upcoming games, promotions, and news alerts.
