Donating Marine Equipment
The Waterfront uses many boats, trailers, and engines in our programs. When we are able to replace these with newer versions, the used ones are added to a listing of items that are sold to the public.
Whatever is not sold throughout the course of the year is put out for the annual Waterfront Marine Equipment Yard Sale. Money from this sale benefits the Eckerd College Search and Rescue program (EC-SAR), a group of volunteer students who provide over 500 maritime assists per year and charge no fee for their services.
Those looking to donate a boat, engine, trailer, or other marine equipment should either:
Waterfront Staff will contact you to discuss the details of your donation, any questions you may have, and arrange for a time to see the equipment. We will determine if it can be used in the Waterfront’s programs or added to ourYard Sale Inventory.
If you would like to donate an item to directly benefit EC-SAR, please take a look at our Wishlist.
